Recombinant Antibodies such as Single Domain Antibody (sdAb), is a new generation of engineered antibody fragment that consisted of a single monomeric variable antibody domain, which is derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies, and lacking the light chain and CH domain of the heavy chain in conventional Fab region. By comparing to conventional antibody, sdAb has smaller size, better solubility, and higher stability to function, outstanding permeability, lower immunogenicity and simple cost-effective production.
